CanCog is continually expanding the range and utility of our technologies for cognitive and behavioral assessment. CanCog scientists were instrumental in first demonstrating the utility of canine neuropsychiatric models, particularly for age-associated memory disorder and Alzheimer's disease. Our previous and ongoing work includes:

• The canine model of human cognitive aging
• Effectiveness of interventions in modifying cognitive function of aged dogs
• Cognitive and anatomical changes during early development and in advanced age in the dog and cat
• Comparative neuropsychological assessment of cognition in dementia, mental retardation and developmental disorders
