Bill Milgram, PhD., President and CEO
Dr. Milgram is a co-founder of CanCog Technologies and the world's leading expert in the field of canine cognitive aging. He was instrumental in the successful development of selegiline as an animal pharmaceutical by Deprenyl Animal Health. Dr. Milgram's scientific qualification include over 120 refereed publications, over 100 abstracts, 2 edited books and 8 book chapters. He has also been a consultant to several animal health and pet food companies. Dr. Milgram is a professor at the University of Toronto at Scarborough, where he holds appointments in the Psychology and Pharmacology Departments and also in the Institute of Medical Sciences.
Joseph Araujo, Vice President and CFO
Joseph is a co-founder of CanCog Technologies. He is trained in pharmacology, with subspecialties in psychopharmacology and behavioral pharmacology. He graduated from McGill University with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. He is currently completing his PhD. in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. His thesis involves the characterization of age-associated changes in learning and memory in dogs and putative therapeutics for these changes. Studies he has conducted on the assessment of role of the cholinergic system in canine aging and cognition represent some of the pioneering work in understanding the role of neurochemistry in canine cognition.
Howard Dobson, Scientific Director Imaging
Howard Dobson joined CanCog Technologies in January 2008 and is a Board Certified Veterinary radiologist with over 30 years experience as a veterinarian and over twenty years experience in diagnostic imaging, His research background is in neuroimaging, musculoskeletal imaging and interventional radiology. His primary research focus involves MRI. Prior to joining CanCog Technologies he was a Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. As a Scientific Director Howard is responsible for all CanCog Technologies imaging projects, including image processing. He is also CanCog Technologies' Director of Animal Welfare.
